Connecting Media Devices to NWU-IoT

Setting up your device for access

 

  1. Go to https://csit.nebrwesleyan.edu

  2. Click on “TV/Game WIFI Access” on the right side

  3. Login with your username (not your full e-mail address) and password

  4. Fill out the Create Device form as follows:

    1. MAC Address: Enter your MAC Address for the device you want to connect . Make sure MAC randomization is turned off when you get the MAC Address for your device.

      1. A MAC Address should follow the format XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
    2. Device Owner's Email: Enter your NWU e-mail address.
    3. Device Name: Enter something that will make sense to you (Bob's AppleTV) in case you register multiple devices. This name will only be for management purposes and does not change anything on your device.
    4. Device Role: Choose the option that best describes the device.
    5. Notes: Any notes you have.
    6. Terms of Use: Review the terms of use and select the radio button.
    7. Hit Create.
  5. A page will display the network to connect to along with the password for this device. You will also receive an e-mail with the information.
  6. Connect to nwu-iot with on the device using the provided password.
  7. Device registration will last for 1 year before it needs to be renewed.
