Nebraska Wesleyan uses Fortinet for our virtual private network (VPN). The VPN connects you to resources such as Colleague and network drives, plus gives you US access to services like Canvas.
- Setup MFA in your Okta account. You can do this by going to the Okta Home Page then following this article. Once done come back here.
- Open a ticket at here to request access to the VPN or on the Okta Home page use the "Add apps" option on the left to request access. If you open a ticket a support profesional will assign you access as soon as possible. NOTE: You will not see Forticlient in your Apps on your Okta Homepage.
- Install the appropriate file for your computer’s operating system from below.
- Open the “Forticlient Console” by clicking on the shield icon in your menubar on Mac or system dock on Windows.
- Click on “Remote Access” on the left hand side.
- Click on “Configure VPN.”
- Enter something memorable like “NWU” for the “Connection Name.”
- Enter “nwufort.nebrwesleyan.edu” in “Remote Gateway.”
- Click the box next to “Enable Single Sign On (SSO) for VPN Tunnel.”
- Click “Save.”
You can now connect. When you do connect it will redirect you to an Okta login page where you will login with your email credentials.
