These are the recommended base computer specs for class and personal use while at Nebraska Wesleyan University (NWU). Many classes will require the use of a PC or Mac to complete course work. Chromebooks and iPads are not a replacement for a PC or Mac as they cannot run many of the required software programs.

Memory: 16 GB minimum
Storage: 256 GB or larger SSD
Wireless: 802.11 b/g/n/ac
Operating System: Windows 11
Warranty: extended 3-5 year warranty recommended
Brands: Lenovo, Dell, and HP are preferred
