Will I still be able to access videos through Stream (Classic) after they have been migrated to SharePoint or OneDrive? | No, once videos are migrated they will not be viewable by end users in Stream (Classic). Videos will still be accessible to Stream administrators in Stream (Classic) if needed. |
Will I still be able to use Stream to record? | You can record using the new Stream client on Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome. |
Where will my videos be moved to? | A new folder will be created in your OneDrive or SharePoint called Stream Migrated Videos. |
Will links to my videos still work? | Any links or embed codes will be redirected in the short term. These links will be broken on February 15, 2024 so we advice creating new links from OneDrive and SharePoint immediately after your videos have been moved. |
When will I no longer be able to upload videos to Stream (Classic)? | We will be preventing uploads to Stream (Classic) starting May 9th, 2023. |
Where should I upload videos if I have never used Stream (Classic)? | Videos should be uploaded to SharePoint, a Teams enabled SharePoint, or OneDrive. |
When will I loose access to the Stream (Classic) portal? | CSIT will disable all access to the Stream (Classic) portal on August 1, 2023. |
Will I be able to share videos from OneDrive or SharePoint? | Unlike Stream (Classic) which only allowed internal sharing, you will be able to share videos with anyone inside or outside of NWU. |
Where will my Teams meeting recordings be saved to instead of Stream? | Teams changed the default location for recordings to OneDrive for personally hosted meetings or to the Teams channel for meetings hosted through a Teams site. |
Can we still use Stream Live Events? | This has been disabled on our tenant and will be fully removed as an option from all tenants September 15, 2023. Please use Teams or Zoom for webinar events. |
Where have company-wide channels been migrated to? | Most of these videos have been moved to the Campus Video Portal SharePoint site that all NWU accounts have visitor access to. |
