NOTE: Not all systems will be compatible with our wireless. Known supported systems are the Nintendo Switch, Playstation (3,4,5), XBox, Apple TV, Chromecast (Some Versions), Amazon Firestick, and Roku. Known systems that do not work are many smart devices like lights, many smart speakers, and older game systems like the Wii and Wii U. Many TVs or other media devices MIGHT WORK but we can not guarantee it. Unfortunately many home devices do not support enterprise security and networks.
Setting up your device for access
-
Go to https://csit.nebrwesleyan.edu
-
Click on “WiFi Media Access” on the right side
-
From the drop down select whether this is a new device or you want to renew your device
-
At this point we have to find the MAC Address on your device. This is not an Apple or Mac thing but a unique network address every device in the world has. Please make sure that MAC randomization is turned off on your device when you look up the MAC address.
-
The page you are on has instructions for supported devices.
-
If your device is unsupported, not listed, you will need to use the manual to find the location of the MAC Address. We can not help much with this because each manufacturer and sometimes each model is different. If you do not have the manual try searching Google for the model number and “ filetype:pdf”. You can also search for the model number and “MAC Address”
-
The MAC address is 6 sets of 2 characters. Each set can have a 0-9 or A-F. These sets are usually split by : or -
-
DEVICE MAC ADDRESS: ___:___:___:___:___:___
-
Once you have the MAC Address click on “I have my MAC Address” at the bottom of the frame.
-
Enter the MAC Address in the field “Mac:” You must include : or – between each 2 character set.
-
Select a name for the device that you will recognize. This is not important.
-
Login with your Local/WebAdvisor login. The part before the @ in your email address.
-
You should now see a success page.
